US 259 joined the crowd relatively recently. Its north end is at its junction with US 59/US 270 (which you can see in the background), just west of Page OK:

Since that photo was taken, that assembly has been replaced:

The photo below shows the north beginning of US 259 as seen from southbound US 59/eastbound US 270...

...and here it is from the opposite direction:

Traffic making that left turn is soon greeted with the first southbound confirming sign:

The south end of US 259 is in Nacogdoches TX; this terminus also occurs at a junction with US 59. There, if you continue straight ahead past the US 59 exits, you find yourself on Business 59 (which is the original mainline 59 through town). Older signage didn't indicate that...
Cozart, Apr. 2003
...but that was changed when these signs were converted to Clearview:
Brooks, Mar. 2013
Heading the opposite direction (north on Business 59, leaving town) the south beginning of US 259 is signed thus:
Brooks, Mar. 2013
...and just ahead is the first northbound confirming assembly:
Brooks, Mar. 2013
...however, that's placed prior to the ramp that leads from southbound US 59 to northbound US 259, so drivers using that exit...
Cozart, Apr. 2003
...won't see a confirming assembly for about a mile.
